Silicon Manganese (SiMn)
Silicon Manganese is a crude alloy of silicon and manganese and some iron used especially in the manufacture of alloy steel. Silicon Manganese is cost- effective and widely used as an alloying agent in the manufacture of steel (especially long products). It provides the necessary toughness and hardness to steel and, hence, is a critical ingredient for steel making and used in higher quantities in 200 series stainless steel, alloy steel and manganese steel.
